Nothing can beat a yoga practice on a standup paddleboard (SUP). The being outside in nature, reconnecting to our source, enjoying the interaction with the elements come rain or shine. A sup yoga practice works with balance, strength, flexibility and fun to attune proprioceptive awareness and focus. The instability of the water means that your core will work really hard making SUP Yoga a great practice to build and maintain a strong inner and outer core. It is also easier than you might imagine to take your yoga practice on to the water or to start a practice from scratch. The emphasis will always be on fun, enjoyment of the environment and a celebration of the nature supporting us. Julie has taught yoga since 2015 and SUP yoga since 2019, she is a level 2 instructor with British Standup Paddleboard Association and a level 3 instructor with the SUPTA training academy. The season runs annually between April to September with a variety of offerings throughout the year. Cost is £23.50 for a single session or you can buy a class pass of 5 sessions for £100 which will expire by the end of the 2023 season, to be advised by email, but usually some time in September. All equipment will be provided. You may bring your own equipment to use however the instructor reserves the right to safety check it before the session. Price deductions are not available if own equipment is used. Dress in quick dry layers suitable for a "gym" workout, including a waterproof jacket in early and late season. Baseball caps are good to avoid glare and please protect exposed skin from the elements (sun cream, lip balm etc). Water shoes or old trainers are required. Please bring a change of clothes and shoes, a towel, water and a snack for after. (There is an onsite cafe open on Saturday mornings and food vans often on a Friday, but both can be busy). Please note that due to safety considerations in the case of unsuitable weather classes may be cancelled at short notice. In this instance clients will be invited to rebook or if this is not possible a refund will be issued.
